The Scottish Building Federation promotes high standards of workmanship and integrity in the building industry.
All SBF Members are expected to;
The SBF Code of Conduct relates to the domestic market only and includes provisions on liability inurance, building standards, technical capabilities, employment and training, health and safety, the environment and customer care.
The Code of Conduct also inlcudes guidance clauses on commercial aspects of business such as tendering, quotations, payment and warranties.

Joining the Scottish Building Federation
In applying to join SBF, prospective Members must have been trading for a minimum of two years and be in a position to submit certificates of liability insurance, company accounts relating to the two previous year's trading and two recent client references in addition to passing a credit check and a Trading Standards review.
