SBCC Document Shop

The Scottish Building Contract Committee Limited (SBCC) was established in April 1964 and is responsible for the adaption of JCT documents for use in Scotland and for the drafting of suitable Scottish documentation.

There are presently ten Constituent Bodies drawn from across the construction industry in Scotland who make up the Commiittee, of which SBF is one.

The SBCC does not sell its documents but acts as a wholesaler to its three selling bodies - the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS), the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Scottish Building Federation (SBF).

Following the proposed changes to the Construction Act which came into force in Scotland on 1st November 2011, SBCC have produced the SBCC 2011 suite of contracts and mirror the changes made by JCT.
