The Moray Association of the Scottish Building Federation (SBF) represents some 30 member companies operating in the Moray and surrounding areas.
In recent times SBF has provided advice to these companies in areas such as Health & Safety, Employment Law and Contractual Matters.
Member companies recognise the need to sustain a skilled workforce and are very supportive of Moray College.
One of the main aims of the Association at present is to engage with fellow members more effectively and is endeavouring to arrange guest speakers to speak to members on matters of topical interest, to precede the regular quarterly meetings.
This has been done in the past six months and has proved highly effective. Attendees have increased considerably and there is a greater sense of camaraderie among the members.
Members are contacting Jim Johnton, area secretary, on a more regular basis, with excellent support provided to the Association from Edinburgh.
Minutes of the regular meetings are issued very promptly after the meetings and all appropriate action required is attended to smartly and this is also proving beneficial to all.
In November, the Association holds its Annual Dinner Dance which is extremely well supported.
